| Candles & Votives We start with a premium high grade paraffin wax. Our wicks are lead free, as we do not wish to expose anyone in your family or ours to the dangers inherant to lead core wicks. A good way to test for lead in candle wicks is to do the following: Strip a small portion of the wicking away from the wire core. Rub the wire core on a piece of white paper. If you see a mark like a pencil would make, that is a lead core wick. Our altar pillar candles have a zinc core. Sometimes our votives have a zinc or paper core. Our pillar candles are an all cotton wick. Our scents are pure, containing no glycol, alcohol, or other cheap dilutents. We work in small batches, as we feel we are more in touch with you as a customer that way, creating your candles as you order them. 1-1/2" altar pillar candles *must* be used in a votive, or other appropriate holder to catch the possible melt pool that happens with candles of this size. | |||

| Incense Sticks Starting with premium 11" unscented Chinese Incense sticks we soak them in fragrance oil for 24 hours and then allow to dry. Please be aware that drying time varies with the weather, and here in Maryland it is humid most of the time. If you have problems with your sticks burning simply open the package and allow them to dry longer. I leave ours out and actually have the best burn after about 14 days.
