Background:Tansy is a very aromatic herb that was used as long ago as medieval Europe. It has primarily been used to treat the body for parasitic worms. It has also been used to ease digestion and cause menstrual bleeding. In addition, it can be used externally to treat parasites.
While it was once used a great deal, it isn't used very often in modern times because of its high level of toxicity - even when used externally. Take great care if you choose to use this herb.

Tansy is a prennial aromati cplant that grows as tall as 3 feet high. It has bright yellow flowers and grows natively all over the northern hemisphere. When the flowers open during the summer, the flowering tops may be picked.
