Beautifully functional & decorative at the same time, these bowls can be used on an altar or wherever you need. A famous collection of two to four thousand bowls which was accumulated by Mithradates, king of Pontus, shows the enthusiasm with which they were regarded. Gemstone bowls were also popular in the Byzantine Empire and are used even today in India. Collecting stone bowls became common among European royalty during the Renaissance and many museums in Europe, including the Louvre, have spectacular examples. Size Approx: 2in x 1in approx.
