Sonoma Stone originates from the Painted Desert in Northern Arizona. The quarry is hidden among the cactus fields and the enormous mesas. Millions of years ago, nature created the natural veins of cream and brown which are characteristic of this magnificent stone. It is an exceedingly rare stone with limited production.
The Sonoma Urn base is made of sheet bronze, lacquer coated and satin finished which measures 9" x 8", with a walnut base for approx 500 cubic inches. The Sonoma top is 1 1/2 to 2" thick by approximately 10". The top is highly polished like glass. The natural roughness is retained in the irregular shape and rugged edge. Once polished, the burled swirl of mineral deposits creates a unique and extraordinary design. A brass plate is included for both the urn and keepsake and can be engraved by your local jeweler.
Keepsake base measures 2" x 2", the Sonoma top is 1/2" x 4" and is 8 cubic inches.
