A simple and inexpensive way of applying color to the body is to use Solarized water. When exposed to sunlight in a colored container the water absorbs some of the vibrational energy of color. This can then be drunk by sipping the water.
Depending upon how strong the sun is, in summer the process of light absorption should only take a couple of hours but during the winter it is advisable to expose to the sun all day. Store solarized water in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
We offer bottles & goblets for solarizing a single color, or rainbow bottles & goblets for solarizing the rainbow. These bottles & goblets are hand painted with porcelain which is bonded permanently to the glass making them dishwasher safe. They are also food safe.
Solarized water can be sipped or used to even bathe affected areas - or both. Sip, do not gulp! And remember that the red, orange and yellow are inclined to be stimulating, so do not drink these too late in the day as it may keep you awake at night. The blue, indigo and violet are calming, so it is best to drink these in the latter half of the day.
Here are traditional correspondences for color therapy & solarizing:
VIOLET
Chakra - Crown / Crystal - e. g. amethyst/ Complimentary color - Yellow.
Purifying.
Restores calm to mind.
Meaning - divinity, dignity, honor, value, hope, insight.
Therapeutic use - hopelessness, lack of self - respect, building personality, loss of self - appreciation, self - love, ear ache, menopause, mental illness, myopia, neuralgia, paranoia. Nervous headache, migraine.
Acne - bathe skin and leave to dry naturally and also drink water.
Also improves skin, where blemishes and scar tissue are present.
Psoriasis - rinse hair with violet water.
Insomnia - as with indigo, or concentrate on violet colour for 3 minutes before putting out bedside light.
INDIGO
Chakra - Brow or Third Eye / Crystal - e.g. sodalite / Complimentary color - Orange
Purifying for the blood.
Meaning - relaxation, sleep, peace, expansion.
Therapeutic use - high blood pressure, stress, asthma, migraine, swelling of the eyes, cough, blisters, burns, bruises, hiccups, premenstrual tension, fevers, sunstroke, laryngitis, sore throats or with complimentary orange for depression. Boils, ulcers, varicose veins, shingles, insomnia. Pain relief.
Chicken pox, measles - soothes the rashes. Rheumatism, arthritis brings down the inflammation as blue, but more powerful. Eczema. Helps to release fears and calm the mind Sip a glass before retiring. Healing wounds - where they can be bathed, do so, otherwise drink the water.
BLUE
Chakra - Throat / Crystal - e.g. turquoise / Complimentary color - Red.
Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.
Teething problems in babies. Stings, itches, rashes.
Calms a fever.
Thyroid imbalance.
Decreases redness in a very ruddy complexion - bathe face with blue water and leave to dry naturally.
Meaning - purity, immunity, calmness, communication.
Therapeutic use - anti-inflammatory, AIDS (HIV), nervous tension, abscess, acne, asthma, cold sore, catarrh, pneumonia, stings, hay fever. Gargle for sore throat.
GREEN
Chakra - Heart / Crystal - e.g. aventurine/ Complimentary color - Magenta.
Eases stress, can be used for lowering of high blood pressure.
Strengthens the immune system.
If an animal is upset use green solarized water in the drinking bowl and green bedding material.
Shock - green water with Bach Flower Rescue Remedy, wrap yourself in a green silk/pure cotton scarf.
Meaning - harmony, balance, stability and neutrality.
Therapeutic use - cleansing, purifying, cancer, antiseptic properties, detoxifying, angina, chest pain, gastric ulcer, heart disease, peptic ulcer, trauma, tumors, warts.

YELLOW
Chakra - Solar Plexus / Crystal - e.g. citrine / Complimentary color - Violet.
Good for study, helps concentration, alertness, reasoning and logic.
Laxative, diuretic.
Weight corrective - tumbler of yellow water half an hour before eating.
Urine infections.
Cleanse the skin after removing makeup.
Meaning - detachment, intellect, judgmental, criticism, thinking.
Therapeutic use - Rheumatism, arthritis, controlling the calcium process, fear and protection, taking back your power, jaundice, hepatitis.
ORANGE
Chakra - Sacral / Crystal - e.g. Carnelian/ complimentary color - Indigo.
Menstrual problems. Period pains.
Meaning - happiness, joy, dance, carelessness, independence, uplifting.
Therapeutic use - antidepressant, energy, also for low blood pressure when red is too powerful, low self - esteem, lifting depression, relationships, kidney and gall stones along with its complimentary color indigo blue, muscle cramps, alcoholism, constipation, liver disease, gout, ulcer, digestive system.
RED
Chakra - Root / Crystal - e.g. Red Jasper / Complimentary color - Turquoise blue.
For tiredness and lethargy, sip glass of red water in the morning to help get you going.
Warming on a cold day. Sip glass in the morning.
Meaning - strength, energy, vitality, life, sexuality, power, alertness, contraction.
Therapeutic use - Low blood pressure, lack of energy, exhaustion, impotence, inactivity, drowsiness, cold, anemia, leukemia, numbness.
MAGENTA
Crystal - e.g. - Charoite / Complimentary color - Green.
Meaning - Selflessness, meditation, perfection, release, let go, faith in the future.
Therapeutic use - changes, freedom, to let go of old habits no longer wanted, the final transition into the spirit at the correct time, fainting, headache, morning sickness, migraine, nausea, stroke, shock, vomiting.
Beneficial for the skin and for lack of energy. Bear in mind the two colours here:- violet and red, so these are the combined energies.
TURQUOISE (see blue)
Throat Chakra problems - energizes thyroid. Emotional healing. Immune system.
PINK As for red but better for young children and those with a hypertension problem.
