Tibetan Incense comes from a centuries old tradition of combining medicinal and therapeutic substances derived from herbs, tree barks, flowers and minerals that when burned, deliver an aroma which can help to soothe and calm restless minds. Tibetans living in India hand roll their incense, in their home cottage industries and cooperatives, to make these wonderful fragrances. They use sandalwood, rose petals, jasmine flowers, cedar bark and other ingredients to obtain earthy and divine aromas. Unlike traditional incense from India, Tibetan, or Zimpo, incenses start with the same basic ingredients, principally from the Himalayan Cedar or cedrus deodarus.
Based on traditional Nepalese rope incense, this delightfully subtle and pleasantly earthy fragrance was originally specially prepared by Tibetan monks at Boudhnath, Nepal. By burning this incense, you help invoke the favor of the Deities and bring Peace and Happiness to all Life.
